These storytelling sessions are designed for children from six to twelve years old and invite them to explore the world with curiosity and imagination. Each session begins with a story from a different culture, centred on questions children love to ask, such as “Why do the moon and the sun live in the sky?”, “How was the earth formed?”, and “Why do turtles move slowly?”. After the story, I share a brief and accessible explanation of the scientific ideas behind these questions, using the tale as a bridge between imagination and understanding.
The sessions are shaped for smaller groups so every child can take part. Children are encouraged to ask questions, follow their curiosity, and express their own thoughts through imagination.
Through this workshop, children learn science through stories, strengthen their listening and creative thinking, and begin to see science as something they can explore with confidence and playfulness. It brings analytical thinking and imaginative thinking together in a gentle and balanced way.
